TULSA, Okla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Empire Petroleum Corporation (OTCBB:EMPR), a Tulsa, Oklahoma based company, announced today that it had suspended drilling operations on the Empire Cobble Cuesta 1-12-12N-34E, Nye County, Nevada, at a depth of 5,198 feet. The geology of the large Cobble Cuesta structure is more complicated than anticipated and, therefore, the Company has initiated a complete review of all the data obtained by drilling and logging the well. The Company said it would probably take at least three weeks to complete this study and make a decision as to whether further drilling or testing should be conducted.
